A 70-year-old with dementia went missing with their dog on the afternoon of Sept. 13 in the hamlet of Edwards, St. Lawrence County. The dog later returned home alone.

Around midnight, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation forest rangers set up an Incident Command and directed search crews to a wooded area behind the home.
