Since Week 16 of the 2024 NFL season, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has had five consecutive games with a passer rating of 110 or higher.
Justin Herbert's Consecutive Passer Rating Streak
This weekend, with a passer rating of 110 or higher against the Denver Broncos, Herbert will become the fifth player in NFL history to reach that mark for six consecutive games with a minimum of 15 attempts. He would join Aaron Rodgers, who had 11 consecutive games in 2011, Tom Brady with six in 2010, Patrick Mahomes with six in 2018, and Steve Young, who also had six in 1994.
Josh Jacobs Consecutive Touchdown Streak
Since Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season, current Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has recorded a rushing touchdown in 11 straight games. With another rushing touchdown against the Cleveland Browns, Jacobs would become only the fifth player ever to have a rushing touchdown in 12 consecutive football games. While being in the top-five, he would join John Riggins with 15 consecutive in 1983, Emmitt Smith with 14 consecutive during the 1995 season, and 13 consecutive from the 1994-95 season. LaDainian Tomlinson had 12 in 2004, and George Rogers had 13 during the 1985-86 season.
Myles Garrett Keeps Piling Up The Sacks
Garrett would have two sacks in Week 1 and 1.5 sacks in Week 2. He is tied for first entering Week 3 with 3.5 sacks. It may not seem like a lot, but Garrett along with New Orleans Saints Carl Granderson, can join Pro Football Hall of Famer Kevin Greene (first four games in 1998), Mark Gastineau (first three in 1984), DeMarcus Lawrence (first three in 2017) and Haason Reddick (first three in 2021) as the only players since 1982 with at least 1.5 sacks in each of their first team's first three games of a season.
With two more sacks against the Green Bay Packers this weekend, Garrett would tie Reggie White for the most sacks by a player under the age of 30 since 1982. Garrett currently sits at 106 career sacks, while White sits with 108.
