Today Sue Farrell is all smiles, full of hope and joy. It’s a far cry from how she used to be. She grew up in Thailand in a large dysfunctional family, where she was often criticized and, in turn, very unhappy. Looking for a fresh start, she moved to America in her 20’s. However, things only got worse.
“I live in the trailer, in a rundown trailer. I used to drive a car, we had no air conditioning,” she recalls.
Sue married a man who left her with a son to raise, a mortgage, and the bulk of the bills. She got an associate’s degree in business and became a hairstylist at a mall. Her first paycheck was only $20. She was determined to make more money and provide a good life for her son, yet she didn’t know how that would happen. Through the years, she’d heard about Jesus.
