South Carolina football assistant coach Travian Robertson suffered serious injuries last month when he was involved in a deadly car crash in Richland County, S.C.
Robertson’s attorneys released a statement on Wednesday sharing that the former Gamecocks star and current South Carolina assistant coach suffered “life-changing injuries” in the crash.
Travian Robertson was hit head-on on Aug. 22 by a driver who is accused of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Police added that the driver, Kelly Johnson, died as a result of the wreck, according to WIS News 10 .
Thus far, Robertson has undergone five surgeries for internal and external injuries, according to WIS.
