The Scarlet Knights (3-0) host Iowa (2-1) in their first conference game of the season on Friday night in Piscataway.

Head coach Greg Schiano’s program seeks a second consecutive 4-0 start — something it has only achieved twice , in the 1960-1961 and 1923-24 seasons — and a first-ever victory over the Hawkeyes that would be a clear sign of progress.

“It would be a very big step,” Schiano said.
