Residents across central Pennsylvania should prepare for patchy dense fog during the morning commute Thursday, with conditions clearing to mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s by afternoon.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for portions of central and northwest Pennsylvania, with visibility significantly reduced in valley areas through the morning hours. Fog is most likely to impact areas west of State College.
Temperatures will warm quickly after the fog dissipates, with highs ranging from the upper 70s at higher elevations to the mid 80s in valley locations. A light west-northwest breeze around 5-8 mph will provide some mild air movement during the day.
