Leave it to Julia Fox to enliven a hairstyle belonging to the late 18th century.

Celebrating the premiere of the new Justin Tipping-directed horror movie, “Him,” the 35-year-old actress posed in an aesthetic reminiscent of the late Queen of France, Marie Antoinette . Under an ornate hat, Fox’s dark brown ringlet curls were styled in a mostly up, partly down hairdo; tiny pieces tickling the edge of her face.

The bottom half of her hair showed only two ringlets ending just past her collarbone; the rest was tucked beneath her polka-dot cap. Meanwhile, the front curls folded like waves over the top of her head; baby hairs falling alongside. John Novotny , Fox’s hairstylist and the talent behind Chappell Roan’s coat of hair in the “Subway” music video, was the artist behind this look.
