AUGUSTA -- An Albion man charged in a hit and run crash that killed two toddlers has been indicted by the Kennebec County grand jury.
44-year-old Benjamin Lancaster was indicted on 9 counts including two counts of manslaughter.
According to investigators, the crash happened on the Hussey Road in Albion in July.
Police say 33-year-old Mollie eGold was walking with her 2-year-old twins in a stroller when she was struck from behind by a vehicle.
Neighbors say she was sent into a mailbox and the twin boys were thrown into a nearby yard.
Police say Lancaster fled the crash but was later identified and arrested.
