Sinclair to replace Jimmy Kimmel with Charlie Kirk special at ABC stations on Friday night

Sinclair Broadcast Group , which last week bought the "non-licensed assets" of Rhode Island ABC affiliate WLNE ABC6 , says it plans to replace the suspended "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" time slot with a special in remembrance of Charlie Kirk on all its ABC affiliate stations on Friday night, Sept. 19.

Sinclair, which says it's the nation's largest ABC affiliate group, said it "objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the assassination of Charlie Kirk. "
