Purdue football legend Drew Brees is back in NFL analysis, though it may be just for a week.

Brees will be part of the Fox pregame and postgame analysis team Sunday as panel regular Julian Edelman is inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame, Barrett Sports Media and the Sports Business Journal reported. Brees joins Charissa Thompson, Charles Woodson and Jay Glazer behind the desk.

The 46-year-old worked with NBC as part of Notre Dame and NFL coverage in 2021, but he left because of travel demands. He would prefer to be an NFL game analyst.

“I have so much respect for the guys doing it right now,” Brees said last month . “But I’d step in the booth right now and be a top-three guy — without question. And give me a few years, I could be the best.”
