First National Bank is prioritizing the roles of artificial intelligence and data science with new hires to its leadership team.

Santosh Sinha was hired as the Director of AI and Innovation, and Sundeep Tangirala will serve as the Director of Data Science, the Lower Hill-based bank said in an announcement Thursday. Both will report to Chris Chan, FNB’s chief strategy officer.

As humans worldwide grapple with the inundation of AI innovation and its implications, businesses are also trying to figure out how to make the technology work for them.
