PHOENIX – A 22-year-old man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Mesa apartment and stabbing a mother and her two teenage daughters early Wednesday, authorities said.

Lowell Tucker Dorn was booked into jail on suspicion of multiple felony offenses, including three counts of attempted murder, the Mesa Police Department announced Thursday morning.

Dorn is accused of entering the victims’ apartment in the area of Dobson and Broadway roads around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday while the family was sleeping.

He allegedly attacked a 16-year-old girl first. She was able to run off to the nearby home of friends and call police.
