Milky Lane Karratha will cease operations at the end of August, just six months after opening its doors.

The closure was announced via Facebook on Sunday, with Milky Lane and Pilbara-based Stardeck Group confirming they had come to a “mutual decision” to terminate their franchise agreement.

The announcement stated that the business had “achieved several milestones, but “it became clear that full integration of . . . systems was not feasible in the long term”.

“System alignment was always a key factor in the ongoing success of our partnership and the customer experience in Karratha,” Stardeck Group managing director Bart Parsons said.

“While we couldn’t bridge this particular gap, we part ways on good terms and with genuine appreciation for the opportunity.”
