BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — The FBI is searching for "specific evidence" at a Burrillville pond on Thursday, according to a spokesperson for the bureau.

The FBI's Underwater Search and Evidence Response Team is on scene at Round Pond near Doe Crossing Drive.

The FBI said there is no threat to public safety at this time. The spokesperson declined to comment further, so it remains unclear if the search is connected to a previous case.
