To the surprise of no one, teen killer Melissa Todorovic has been granted her second chance at parole.

In a decision released Thursday — reserved since her hearing six days earlier — the parole board ruled the woman who orchestrated the 2008 murder of 14-year-old Stefanie Rengel will be released to a halfway house in Barrie for a period of six months. She has a nightly curfew, no overnight privileges outside the home, and must disclose all relationships to her parole officer.

It was her secret love triangle with two ex-cons that got her first foray of freedom revoked in 2019.

Todorovic, now 33, told the hearing last week that she understands that unhealthy relationships and her need to exert power and control are part of her “offence cycle” that she is working on.
