Residents from across Camden will gather on Sept. 26 to celebrate the city’s diverse Hispanic community.
The City of Camden is throwing its annual free Hispanic Heritage Celebration from 4 to 8 p.m. at 520 Market St. near Roosevelt Plaza Park close to City Hall. The festival will feature regional Hispanic musicians Combo Melaza and Manny y Los Brothers Band.
Festival goers can enjoy Latin music while munching on local eats from vendors like La Ingrata, which serves Mexican food from Puebla and Mexico City, according to city spokesman Vincent Basara.
Attendees can also learn more about Hispanic culture at nonprofit-run booths, he said.
The city has hosted a Hispanic Heritage celebration for nearly a decade as a way of celebrating Camden’s diverse culture, Basara said.
