DENVER (KDVR) -- Flights into the Denver International Airport are being delayed on Thursday morning.
A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told FOX31 that the agency is slowing flights into DIA due to a reported equipment issue.
The FAA clarified that it was not a radar issue; controllers had to manually hand aircraft over to the new airspace, rather than it being automated.
The impact was reported to be about 30 minutes of delay, but the FAA said that the delay may increase or decrease, and they do not have a timeline for how long flights will be impacted.
There were 264 delays on flights coming in and out of the Denver airport and three cancellations on Thursday as of noon, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware.
