Traffic stop leads to seizure of drugs, suspect arrested

EUFAULA, Ala. (WTVM) - A suspect in East Alabama has been arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to the Eufaula Police Department, on September 17, EPD’s Special Operations/Narcotics Investigators conducted a probable cause traffic stop of a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Edaniel Bowers.

Officials report that after a positive indication from Narcotics Detection Canine (NDC) Coco, a probable cause search was conducted.

The search yielded approximately 42 grams of powder cocaine, approximately 9 ounces of synthetic cannabinoids, digital scales, drug packaging materials, and a firearm.

Bowers is charged with the following:

Drug trafficking (2x)

Resisting arrest

Attempting to elude

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
