Kaleb Nielson used to put so much pressure on himself a year ago that he thought he ruined games for the Williamston football team when something didn't go right.

That all stemmed from the perfectionist mentality Nielson has always had.

Whether it was school or anything else, Nielson had always made it a point to be the best possible.

And while that's still the goal, the Williamston senior quarterback has loosened that perfectionist approach. And that's contributed to better results for Nielson under center.

"With the teammates I have around me and the offensive line and all these great athletes we have, I don't know why I put that pressure on myself," said Nielson, who was voted the latest LSJ boys high school athlete of the week. "I felt like I've done a great job this year to try to
