(WSPA) - Field Of 68's Jeff Goodman reports that six Wofford basketball players have been ruled ineligible by the NCAA as a result of what's termed a "communications issue" involving off-campus housing.

The issue led to last week's announcement by Wofford that head coach Dwight Perry and associated head coach Tysor Anderson would no longer lead the program, according to the report.

Agent Mark Peper, with four of the seven he represents on the Wofford roster ruled ineligible by the NCAA, told Field Of 68 that all of the players fully support their request to have both Perry and Anderson reinstated.

There is a 30-day window to enter the transfer portal following a coaching change, under NCAA rules.
