If you’re one of the nearly 18 million Facebook users who signed up to receive a slice of the company’s $725 million settlement pie , your long-awaited payout is coming soon.

That is, if you haven’t already received it. The first payments started rolling out after a court order in late August, and they’ll continue to roll out in September and October, according to the settlement’s website .

Your share — after 25% goes to the lawyers , plus other litigation costs — is expected to range from about $5 to $39 , depending on how long you used Facebook during a 15-year period from 2007 to 2022. The average payment is estimated to be about $28.

But if you didn’t previously join the class-action lawsuit, you’re out of luck. The deadline to do so passed more than two years ago.
