HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Entering last week’s game at Nevada, Middle Tennessee was mired in a five-game losing streak stretching the last two seasons.
The Blue Raiders began 2025 with a 34-14 home loss to FCS foe Austin Peay before falling 42-10 at Wisconsin.
MTSU was an underdog in Reno and trailed 13-0 in the fourth quarter, before scoring two touchdowns to claim a 14-13 victory. The winning touchdown came on quarterback Nicholas Vattiato’s 5-yard run with 21 seconds left.
On Saturday, the Blue Raiders will see if they can start a win streak when they host an old Conference USA rival in Marshall at 7 p.m. from Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The game, which serves as Middle Tennessee’s homecoming contest, can be seen on ESPN+.
