A lot seemed to have happened Wednesday evening.

And it seems as though “South Park” co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have some explaining to do to their fans.

That’s because the two have announced via the animated show’s social media accounts that Wednesday night’s episode had been canceled.

Episode 5 of season 27 was set to air on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET.

However, per the two co-creators, they claim to have missed the deadline to finish the episode.

“Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done,” an Instagram post said. “This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”
