MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Surveillance video captured the moments gunfire rang out striking and injuring a 15-year-old boy. He was shot twice in the back at a Raleigh apartment complex last Thursday, police said.

Memphis Police (MPD) said the teen was dropped off at Methodist North Hospital after he was shot at Keystone Landing Apartments on Ridgestone Drive. The boy told investigators he was in a car with another teen when a black Cadillac SUV followed them before someone got out of the vehicle and opened fire.

The gunfire struck the 15-year-old twice, police said. The boy was expected to survive.

MPD said the gunfire also struck several cars at the apartment complex — including one with an 8-year-old and a 1-year-old inside. Neither child was hurt, police said.
