ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two men have been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to trafficking tens of thousands of fentanyl-laced pills disguised as prescription medication in the Atlanta area, according to federal prosecutors.
In February 2024, federal agents began investigating Walter Alexander Argueta-Aguilar, a 21-year-old undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, after packages were sent to his Norcross home containing “counterfeit pills with the imprint M30, which is a common imprint on legitimate oxycodone tablets,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia said in a press release Thursday.
