ABC's decision to cancel late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel's Los Angeles-based show is reverberating on the other side of the continent, in a small Newfoundland community where the comedian is the honorary mayor.

"I can speak for all the people of the community of Dildo that we would certainly roll out the red carpet for him and he'd be welcome, same as he was if he still had … his television show," said Todd Warren, the owner of George House Heritage Bed and Breakfast in Dildo, a small local service district located 99 kilometres from St. John's.
