BUFFALO, N.Y. — The McKinley Parkway Historic District has been formally approved for listing on the New York State Register of Historic Places after receiving a recommendation from the State Board for Historic Preservation.

Homeowners within the district can now apply for the New York State Historic Homeowner Tax Credit, which provides up to a 20% state income tax credit on certain rehabilitation expenses like roof repairs, exterior restoration, windows, and life-safety systems.

The McKinley Parkway is New York's largest historic district, covering around 5,300 properties in South Buffalo.
