PINE RIVER TOWNSHIP — The Cass County Commissioners met for its last “Road Show” of the year with a public hearing regarding the exchange and revocation of roads within Pine River Township.

At the Tuesday, Sept. 16, meeting, County Engineer Darrick Anderson requested the public hearing be opened for comments or concerns regarding the revocation of County State Aid Highway 27 between Trunk Highway 87 and County State Aid Highway 25, south of Backus. This roadway was identified in the Cass County Long Range Transportation Plan as being mainly used for local use and not a highly traveled roadway. The total length being revocated to the township is 1.95 miles. Another portion of this road is located in Bull Moose Township, and the county will pursue revocation of that portion next year.
