CECILIA, Ky. —
A man has been arrested after a road rage incident where shots were fired caused Central Hardin High School to go on a soft lockdown Thursday.
Hardin County Schools officials said the high school entered the soft lockdown around 2:35 p.m.
According to police, two people driving on Ring Road were cut off by another vehicle. When they stopped at a red light, the two drivers got into a verbal altercation.
Police said 50-year-old Jeremy Yates pulled out a baseball bat and sprayed the two people in the other vehicle with bear spray.
When the victims tried to leave the scene, police said Yates followed them. The man in the other vehicle threw a ceramic tile at Yates before driving away.
Yates then cut off the vehicle near Central Hardin High School and got out of his vehicle
