Man found shot to death near L.A. recreation center

PANORAMA CITY – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Panorama City near the Sepulveda Recreation Center that left one man dead.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday to 8825 Kester Ave. between Rayen and Parthenia streets where they found the victim lying in the park suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to an LAPD spokesman.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.

Video from the scene showed paramedics attempting to revive the victim. NBC 4 reported witnesses told officers they saw the victim engaged in an argument with another man prior to the shooting.

There was no suspect information.
