The Crown finally offered its theory Thursday of how it believes about $7.5 million in drugs got on a truck that was searched at the Blue Water Bridge three years ago.
The 55 kilograms of cocaine and five kilograms of heroin Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers at the Sarnia-area bridge found on April 8, 2022, initially were loaded onto a different truck in California days earlier. The drugs were then driven across the U.S. to Indiana, where they were transferred from that truck to Charanpreet Singh’s truck at a TA Travel Center in Lake Station, Ind., prosecutor Stephane Marinier argued.
