PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla. (KNWA/KFTA) — An Oklahoma man who was named a person of interest in the murder of his parents has been found dead in Texas, according to authorities.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a social media post that the Pushmataha County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the department to investigate a double homicide on Sept. 11.

PCSO deputies responded to a welfare check at a residence on State Highway 43 in Clayton. Once deputies arrived, they found the bodies of Fred Baker, 71, and Barbara Baker, 70, in the home.

Officials determined the two suffered gunshot wounds with injuries consistent with homicide.
