WELLESLEY, Mass. —

At Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley, a unique partnership is helping students, staff and faculty put food on the table while pursuing their academic goals.

Once a month, the Greater Boston Food Bank rolls onto the MassBay campus with a truckload of fresh produce, pantry staples and other grocery items. They are all free for anyone in the school community.

“This has been a fantastic partnership for years now,” said MassBay President David Podell. “Every month they bring fresh vegetables, fruits and other foods for students to help themselves. It’s always a little bit of a festival -- faculty, students, and staff come together. It builds community.”
