COLUMBUS, Ohio — A woman was arrested and charged with murder after a deadly shooting Thursday at an east Columbus apartment, police said.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called around 9:25 a.m. to the 3200 block of Sterling Lane near Stelzer Road on a report of a shooting.

Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua said shots were fired from inside and outside of an apartment building.

The officers found three victims with gunshot wounds, who were taken to the hospital.

Police said 22-year-old Janaysia Lewis died from her injuries. The two other victims were treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Zandra Wignal, was detained at the scene, police said.
