A Barnegat-based developer has opened an affordable housing lottery for Cornerstone at Hainesport , a 72-unit, income-restricted apartment complex located along Creek Road in Hainesport.

Applications will be accepted through Oct. 16, with the drawing scheduled for Oct. 29.

The first building is expected to be ready for occupancy in January 2026.

The development, being constructed by the Walters company, will consist of six buildings offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with individual entrances.

All units will be set aside for families earning 60% or less of the area’s median income, with rental rates based on renters’ gross annual income.

The apartments will feature open floor plans, upgraded interior finishes, and in-unit washers and dryers.
