OSKALOOSA, Iowa (KCRG) - The Oskaloosa Community School District says a federal lawsuit has been filed against the district over the firing of one of their teachers.

The Oskaloosa school board voted on Wednesday to terminate a teacher who posted “one Nazi down” social media post after Charlie Kirk’s death .

Superintendent Mike Fisher said Matthew Kargol’s post violated the district’s social media policies.

“I’m not a person on social media. But many people are and they were sharing screenshots and our comms director, he was all over it, and we were seeing all the traffic and the things that were going on. So we knew we had to get involved,“ said Oskaloosa School Superintendent Mike Fisher last week.
