MARION COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina woman is facing charges after a baby allegedly tested positive for a dangerous drug.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said 30-year-old Neocea Alexus Johnson was arrested on Thursday after her seven-month-old child tested positive for cocaine.

The sheriff's office said it initially charged Johnson with unlawfully placing a child at risk or causing harm, and her four minor children were taken into emergency protective custody.

However, officials stated that a continued investigation led to the issuance of four additional warrants. Deputies allege she threatened to kill her children while holding a gun. The incidents allegedly occurred between June 1 and Aug. 18.
