The Boston Celtics are inching closer towards the start of the 2025-26 season, as their first game of the regular season is just over a month away. On Thursday, star forward Jaylen Brown made a big announcement that will surely catch the attention of fans.

Heading into the new campaign, Brown is going to have a lot of attention on him. With Jayson Tatum set to miss the majority of the 2025-26 campaign after suffering a torn Achilles, Brown will be the Celtics’ de facto leader.

By now, Brown is already established as one of the best players in the league. He averaged 22.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game last season while shooting 46.3% from the field, which helped him earn the fourth All-Star selection of his career.
