CARBON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- A Pennsylvania man died Tuesday, four days after authorities say he was injured when a pyrotechnic device exploded.
Kevin J. Koch, 61, of Towamensing Township, east of Lehighton in Carbon County, was pronounced dead Tuesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital -- Cedar Crest near Allentown, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
The coroner's office said he was injured on Sept. 12 around 10:15 p.m. when they said a pyrotechnic device exploded.
The cause of death, the coroner's office said, was determined to be blast and thermal injuries and the manner of death is an accident.

Pennsylvania State Police at Lehighton are investigating.
