SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - More than 28,000 people work in Savannah’s tourism and hospitality industries - often on weekends and holidays.

While those workers are busy making memories for visitors, a new initiative aims to make sure their kids to get enjoy the holiday cheer too.

Nonprofit Chosen For The Arts is launching a holiday toy drive called Holidays in Motion. The campaign will collect toys to be distributed to hospitality businesses during the holiday season.

The campaign has several partners, including the Tourism Leadership Council . TLC President and CEO Michael Owens says many hospitality workers often do not have the time to finish holiday shopping during the busy season.
