EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. (KFVS) - The East Prairie school district offers students and their families access to Eagle’s Closet, which offers clothing, food, and household items free of charge.

“So the Eagle Closet started in 2019 when I was hired in as a district social worker. We quickly learned that we don’t have the resources we need to serve the kids in the school system,” said Magan Jones, East Prairie School District Social Worker.

Jones got to work collecting donations of food, clothing, hygiene products, and more.

She started running her thrift service and food pantry out of her office.

Then it moved into a school closet.

“And then from there, we moved it to a building because I was growing out of the closet, and then to another building. We’ve had lots of things happen with differen
