KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A parent at Central High School was arrested after throwing a chair and punching another person, according to a release from the Knoxville Police Department.
KPD said a parent was in the administrative office after a fight involving students. That parent then became angry during the meeting, threw a chair, which hit a teacher and punched another school staff member who was in the room.
"The Central High School Resource Officer detained her, and she was subsequently charged with assault," police said. "The victims of the assault sustained minor injuries."
KPD has not yet released the name or age of the parent or staff involved.
