MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — One of the men charged with murder in the event center shooting that killed two women and injured nine others appeared in a Madison County courtroom Thursday for a youthful offender status hearing.

Trinton Bouldin was 17 years old when the shooting took place, and a circuit judge now has to decide if he will be tried as an adult.

Bouldin was escorted to the courthouse by Madison County Sheriff's Deputies. The hearing lasted just under an hour, and the judge did not immediately rule on the request.

Bouldin has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of first-degree assault. He is one of five people charged in this shooting.
