MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Zawyer Sports and Entertainment owns Mobile's new hockey team, and the owner told News 5 this isn't the first time the company has brought a sport back to a city that once said goodbye.

The Mobile Mysticks were shut out in 2002, but this time around, Andy Kaufmann, the owner and CEO of ZSE, is confident the new hockey team is going to be a hit.

The company owns, operates, and manages 16 sports teams in different cities, some in the same situation Mobile finds itself in now.

"In Jacksonville, where hockey once wasn't successful, we now lead the league in attendance at 9,300 a game," Kaufmann explained.

It's getting those in attendance, and in the community, to rally around that team that Kaufmann says is the key to the sport's success.
