STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Members of the Tori Chapter 421 of the Vietnam Veterans of America will host their Annual POW-MIA Ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. — rain or shine.

The Veterans Memorial Park is located at the corner of Manor Road and Martling Avenue in West Brighton.

The Staten Island Memorial Service honors all prisoners of war and those still missing in action, but will pay tribute to those lost during the Vietnam war.

The solemn event, punctuated with moments of silence and somber speeches, begins with a ceremonial march led by the chapter’s Honor Guard.

All Staten Island veterans who died will be memorialized, but Maj. Gerald Crosson Jr. and Major Kevin O’Brien, who are missing in action during the Vietnam War, will be recognized.
