(FOX40.COM) — U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced a federal grand jury charged a man from Vallejo with being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to court documents, 39-year-old Cole Bradley Martin possessed two firearms on Aug. 14 despite being prohibited from possessing firearms because of a prior conviction.

Martin faces a maximum statutory penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Grant reported that Martin's prior arrest in Solano County was for possessing a controlled substance and robbery in the first degree.
