Jabari Johnson, a 23-year-old man who pointed a loaded gun at Cincinnati police officers during the Taste of Cincinnati weekend, has been sentenced to six months in prison and will be deported to Jamaica after serving his time.
Johnson, who initially pleaded no contest to low-level felony charges and a misdemeanor, was convicted and sentenced to jail time and probation. During that hearing, Johnson falsely claimed to be a U.S. citizen, which was later revealed to be untrue. Advertisement
Assistant Prosecutor Joe Otero said, "He knowingly gave the court a false answer. That's not a small oversight, that was a direct lie to the court."
Johnson returned to court on Thursday where Otero argued for a harsher sentence. Otero said, "I believe this man owes a debt to the citizens
