BANGOR -- A free clinic at Husson University is helping to bridge a gap in healthcare for the under- or uninsured.

It's called Soaring Eagles Healthcare, and it's been in operation since 2014. The clinic is staffed by physical therapy students under the supervision of faculty.

They provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing services to patients free of charge.

The clinic is open to anyone of any age. Student clinicians call the work rewarding, and the faculty supervisor says they take a very thorough approach to care.

"Besides being movement experts, exercise experts, we can also look at people's health and wellness. We can talk about their diet, talk about their sleep, and their activity level. So we can do a very holistic look at our patients," said Dr. Kim Steinbarg
