ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A 20-year-old man was shot and killed inside a DeKalb County home late last night, according to police.

Officers, crime scene investigators and the medical examiner’s office could be seen at the house in the 300 block of Rock Meadow Drive, just outside Stone Mountain’s city limits, for several hours overnight and into Thursday morning.

Diniech Garvin, the owner of the home, said her son was friends with the victim. The two were hanging out with friends at her house when a fight broke out.

“A petty argument over $50 or something. I was inside the house and I heard all of this commotion,” Garvin said. “And the boy who is deceased, he was trying to walk away.”
