The Pittsburgh Steelers received the worst possible injury news on standout offensive lineman Max Scharping.

On Wednesday, news broke that Max Scharping suffered a serious-looking knee injury during Steelers practice. On Thursday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Scharping suffered an ACL and will miss the rest of the 2025 season.

The Steelers signed Sharping in October last year while he was on the Washington Commanders’ practice squad. Sharping played guard in two games and saw a handful of snaps on the special teams.

Pittsburgh’s offensive line has been shaky, at best, over the first two games. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been sacked seven times, and the ground game has recorded just 125 yards, per ESPN.
